We (two families with elementary-age kids) had a fantastic stay at Oz Lodge! Heather was there to welcome us on arrival and super responsive to questions, the Bunk House was delightful, and the sauna (heated up for us, no less!) was a real treat. We'll be back for sure!

Fantastic getaway with a group of friends. We started our days with a home-cooked breakfast at Oz Lodge, then ski-toured one of the local mountains during the day and returned to a sauna, cold plunge, and another fantastic meal in the evening. Oz Lodge even provided lunch with hot soup while we adventured. Heather, Matt, and Tim are the most genuine hosts you could ask for with a wealth of local knowledge. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay in Seward, AK! This was an awesome basecamp for our group to stage our backcountry skiing day trips. Reasons to stay here: (1. The hosts are amazing people! Heather, Matt, and Tim went out of their way to make sure everyone was having a great stay (2. The food is incredible! Opt in for the meals to not have to worry about grocery shopping, cooking, and cleaning, Heather is an awesome cook and considered everyones needs. (3. The beds are super comfy! The bunk house is huge and sleeps large groups easily. Don’t miss this unique lodging opportunity! *Note: This property is alcohol and drug free. If you want a place to party, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a relaxing healthy getaway, then this is the place for you!

What a fantastic spring getaway to Seward! This was not our first stay at Oz Lodge—and definitely won’t be our last. Tim, Matt, Heather, and sweet little Jeddy are incredible hosts who’ve created a space built around community, comfort, and memorable experiences. The lodge is cozy, sparkling clean, and thoughtfully designed. The beds are comfortable, and there’s plenty of room to spread out and relax. With space for up to 20 people, it’s a rare gem for large groups looking for a true Alaskan retreat. Spring skiing at the pass was superb, and each evening wrapped up with a delicious meal and a hot sauna—what a treat! Special shoutout to Heather’s teriyaki black cod—it’s absolutely to die for. Oz Lodge has become our go-to base camp for Seward adventures. These hosts know how to make guests feel welcome, and their warm hospitality shines through in every detail. Highly recommend!

I had the best stay with friends at the Oz lodge during my first trip to Alaska!! We came down to Seward from Anchorage and had the most relaxing evening and best sleep (my Oura ring agreed). We were able to use the sauna at night and in the morning with Heather’s help. The whole fam was super accommodating during our entire stay, and truly made you feel like part of the Oz family. It’s a super special place I’d recommend to anyone visiting

The Oz Lodge is in a quiet neighborhood about a 10 minute drive from downtown Seward. The cabin has a lot of bunk beds that are extremely spacious and perfect for larger groups. There’s rustic decor, good heating and insulation, lots of board games, and a fully stocked coffee and tea station. The hosts were extremely friendly and helped set up firewood for a cozy campfire just outside the cabin. Would highly recommend for any large groups traveling to Seward!

Great experience at this lodge! The family is very accommodating. I arrived during Salmon season and they took me out for a day of fishing, all the gear and everything, then they packed up the fish for me. They have everything you need. I traveled solo, but it's definitely a great option for groups. Heather made delicious home-cooked meals and they invite guests to partake like family. She even packed me to-go meals, so thoughtful! Definitely enjoy the sauna when you go. I definitely recommend staying here for the comfort, food, and hospitality!

Oz Lodge was an incredible stay! The helicopter ride to the glacier was breathtaking, and the boat ride in Resurrection Bay was simply amazing. The bunkhouse was cozy, with extremely comfortable mattresses and bedding. I would certainly return again in the future!
